Make Love, Not War

Photos: Riots, fire, destruction after Vancouver’s loss | Posted | National Post

I don't get why people would riot in their hometwon and cause huge damage after losing a game. Sport may be an metaphor for war but no-one ever destroyed their home in a fit of rage after losing on a battlefield.

Most people seemed more psyched on the photo op and the chance to do a spot of looting than anything else. Photos never tell the whole story, but the shots of guys throwing the horns in front of cars on fire and dudes running out of departement stores with free clothing (and signs in the background promoting 2 for 1 deals) are shaping the world's opinion of canadians right now.

At least this pic of a couple kissing is out there to balance things out a bit. Let others go to jail for violence and mayhem. They're going for public indecency.
